After breakfast we spent the morning discussing the house and financial situation: Luz was much worried by all the numbers involved. It seemed financially possible, but the biggest problem was the distance to Fresno to a hospital. We were scheduled to meet with Teresa again on the next day (Thursday 21st.)
About noon we drove to Wawona again, and learning from experience we parked by the stables across the river and walked across the covered bridge (query: was this when I had to go back to the car for something?) to the shuttle point where we took the shuttle to the Mariposa Grove, intent on making it to the top at Wawona Point.
At the Grove we just missed one tram, it was full and just leaving, and had to wait for the next. We got the back seats and Ron tried taking a movie on the drive up the hill; not very successful as the road was very bumpy. We left the shuttle at the museum stop and walked up the steep trail, to the Fallen Wawona Tunnel Tree. From there we took the Outer Loop trail to the road junction leading up to Wawona Point. After successfully climbing to the top (Luz assisted by a thin branch as a walking stick), we reached the outlook at Wawona Point and took photographs of Luz by the sign, and of the views over the distant hills and down to Wawona far below.
Leaving the Point we dropped down again to the road and followed it back to the fallen Tunnel Tree where we dropped down the trail to the museum again. After a quick look at the museum we hitched a ride on the tram going back down. At the stop by the Grizzly Giant we walked down to the California Tunnel Tree (still standing) and tried to take photos amongst all the people there. Then back to the tram for the final descent and the shuttle (perfect timing) back to Wawona and the drive back to Fish Camp, arriving at the Owl's nest about 6:15.
For dinner we had spaghetti with a beef and vegetable sauce and pickled dills, and finished the last of the wines. We made the big decision to buy no more wine. And so to bed.
