Over breakfast we decided to have a look at the possibility of property in Raymond (where Robert and Barbara live) before our meeting with Teresa at Bass Lake. We left early and at Oakhurst turned right on the 49 looking for the mountain road that Ron remembered over to Raymond. the GPS seemed to be very unsure about its existence, and Ron' memory failed to find it, and eventually we went back to Oakhurst and took the 41 over to Coarsegold as the GPS had always insisted.&nnbsp; In Coarsegold we took the Raymond road and drove for what seemed a long way to Raymond, only to discover that Raymond hardly existed, we found there was one store, but no real village centre at all. So we started to return to Oakhurst via the mountain road (Grub Gulch Road) which we (and the GPS) found quite easily from the Raymond end. This was vaguely remembered by Ron, but turned out to be a very 'butterfly road' for Luz on the descent, with big drops on the right hand side and few trees to hide the view down.&bsp; Finally we got back to the 49 at Ahwanee and turned right back to Oakhurst.
We got to Bass Lake before 12:00 and had plenty of time for lunch by the lake and a swim before our scheduled meeting with Teresa at 2:00. So we went into the water for a swim (Ron - photo of head and feet). Luz only just managed to get wet, and made no attempt to swim before returning on shore, where she met and made friends with a black butterfly and tried to photograph it. At this point Teresa called and Ron had to get out of the lake quickly to give her directions on how to find the China Creek Lane property which she had gone to inspect. A little lunch and then on the Bass Lake Village where Teresa had still not returned. So back to chocolate ice cream across the road, Luz had a sorbet instead. Teresa arrived and we went across to see her.
Teresa's opinion on the China Creek property was dismal, it was barely worth $45,000 these days and there was little chance of a sale in the current state of the market: her advice was to sit still and wait for better times. We went with her to see the Saunders property again.
Then it was back up the 41 to Fish Camp and dinner: leftover vegetables, shrimps and mushrooms (with wine of course) listening to Beethoven's 9th. through to the end this time. Then we watched the last of the 'Waiting for God' DVD before going to bed early.
