This was the day, our third Sunday in California, when we had originally proposed to drive to the Napa Valley, but we were both glad to think this was going to be an easy last day of the vacation. We went down to the atrium about 7:30 for breakfast. As usual now we had far too much: bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, hot cakes, fruit (melon and water melon) with coffee, followed by 'seconds' (photos of Luz tackling a stack of hot cakes.) Thinking ahead we also collected enough food for a good picnic lunch out by the bay:&nabsp; apples, banana, muffins, hard boiled eggs.
Back to the room and then out about 11:00 to walk by San Francisco Bay. Immediately were amazed at the number of planes flying in and out of San Francisco airport (SFO), just across an inlet of the bay from us. We walked south for perhaps a mile on the shore walk, watching the fishermen and taking photos of the planes as they landed and took off (often two at a time, and less than a minute between flights). Luz started a collection of all the different airplane logos on the tail, but few of the pictures made it to NORZUL. Our packed lunch remained uneaten and we walked back to the north past the hotel a short way before returning about 3:30pm.
We tried the business room to check in for tomorrow's flights, Luz was OK for internal US flights, but on-line check did not work for Ron's international flight. Then back to the room for a short rest. There was no Manager's Reception that night, but we got free drinks and vegetables in the bar.
Then back to the room for our last night.
